Default Arabic Font change proposal

Hello,

I am not exactly sure if this is the right way to do it. If not, I hope
you notify me.

I wanted to raise the issue with the default Arabic font that is used. I
don't know if it was selected at random or if there is a reason. It's a
weird font that's not usually used and it's not easy on the eyes (not as
aesthetically appealing as well).
I would suggest using something like Noto Naskh
<https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Naskh+Arabic>.

This isn't only my own opinion, but there are more people who have
raised the same issue. Examples:

1)
https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/proposal-for-arabic-font-improvement-switch-from-noto-sans-arabic-to-noto-nask-arabic/85033

2) https://mmbesar.github.io/Tutorials/Best-Arabic-Font-in-Linux/

Best regards,
Mohamed Aboelenein

Hi Mohamed,

debian-vote is not the right list for this suggestion. (cc'ing debian-boot)
Assuming you refer to the font chosen by the installer,
I recommend submitting an installation report.

Since you did not explicitely quote mentions from Debian Installer above:
do you know that Debian Installer is also affected by this?

I have attached 2 screenshots from Debian Installer in Arabic for you to
look at, in case you are not sure.

Thanks

Holger
