Hi,

Please enable this architecture, with the patch attached or an equivalent.

I built it locally on hardware, it built fine just by enabling the architecture
in debian/control, no other changes needed.

Thanks and cheers.

Are you sure you need to build efi-reader here? It's mostly a no-op
package on the existing arches already, and I'd be surprised if there
is any use for it on on riscv64.

Cheers,

Steve

Actually I didn't pay much attention to what the program does, I
stumbled upon it when trying to find small packages to test building
infra and that was it. At the end of the tests I was submitting these
requests for several of the packaes.

Being part of debian-installer I imagined that it's needed in some
circumstances even if it's a tiny --but perhaps important-- part...
there's not much info to go by in the descriptions, and I'm not very
familiar with the installer other than as a user.

So dunno, I think that you're in a better position to decide whether
it's needed or not, I'm happy if you prefer to close this report.

Cheers!

As far as I can see,
- efi-reader just reads the Lang-* EFI variable an sets the
debian-installer/language debconf setting accordingly;
- it is only included in ia64 d-i initramfs;
- the .udeb is included in d-i ISO images but unused;
- it does not work with current Linux kernels because it reads
/proc/efi/vars/ which does not exist.

Is this package useful on any architecture ?
