That doesn't appear to be debian-cd specific, as netboot/gtk/mini.isoVersion: 3.2.1

gives similar results in my very limited testing (side note, -sounhw all
is gone with recent QEMU versions; -audio driver=pa,model=ac97 is what I
used to reproduce, on my PulseAudio-using GNOME setup).
Hello maintainers of the installer,
That'd be debian-boot@, now cc'd.Quoting the rest in full.
As seen on openQA, the speech version of the installer is currently not
working.
When booting the daily netinst image, or a weekly live image (in a VM), the

When I press a key, I can hear it being spoken, so the speech synthesiser is
working properly. However, the installer is not started.
I've tried booting for 'espeak.synth=dummy' instead of 'soft' and then the
installer offers me all the languages on the serial console.
* Boot the live image to the GUI (I tested XFCE)
* Switch to a console (Ctrl-Alt-F1)
* apt-get install espeakup
* Speech is now working (i.e. a keystroke is read aloud)
After #1081950 got fixed, the message 'E: unimplemented function'
disappeared, but the installer still did not start. The oldest run on openQA
for the netinst image is from 2024-09-24, this issue was already present by
then.
For the live images, the last good build for trixie/testing is from
2024-09-18T20:19:20Z [2], the next build is from 2024-09-25T20:15:17Z [3].
The last good build is 2024-09-14T08:19:04Z [4] and the next build is from
2024-09-15T08:14:02Z [5]
I hope this helps in finding the correct package and a possible fix.
With kind regards,
Roland Clobus
